KidsFest has old favorites, new location

KidsFest, one of the most anticipated Jubilee events every year, is back in the great (cool) indoors, just like it used to be.

After several years of outdoor activities, this year's fun-filled extravaganza for children moves into the Montgomery Renaissance Hotel and Spa at the Convention Center from 2-6 p.m. today.

All the favorite activities are back, including last year's big hit, "Nickelodeon Live," complete with green slime from the Slim-ulator. KidsFest has always been a mix of super-cool activities and shows for kids and informative and useful programs for both parents and their children.

Admission is $5 for children 10 and younger, and parents will be admitted free. Price includes five inflatable ride tickets for each child. Unlimited ride wristbands will be available for an additional fee.

Along with the Nickelodeon program, Radio Disney star Kev Morris (better known as KEV), a pre-teen hip-hop and R&B singer and dancer, is slated to perform. KEV, whose debut album is scheduled for release in September, will give two high-energy performances for the fans...Read the full article.
